Aircraft Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Due to Crack in Windshield
An aircraft carrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an emergency landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday after a crack was identified in the plane's windshield, as stated by an official announcement which stated that Hegseth was safe.
"The plane landed based on standard procedures and all individuals on the flight, including Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," an official representative commented in a online announcement.
Hegseth was returning from a short visit to Brussels at the time.
This event isn't the first occasion that a American defense plane transporting a top government figure has encountered technical problems.
Earlier this year, a American military jet transporting Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was forced to head back to the US capital after experiencing a technical issue.
