Rob Edwards and Gary O'Neil are two of the early names under consideration to succeed the former manager as head coach of Wolves.
Pereira was sacked on the weekend following the squad's 10-match without a victory start to the top-flight season.
Furthermore Edwards and O'Neil - each of whom have historic links to the club - are part of the options to be considered by the Wolves leadership.
