The young golfer will have plenty of prominent backers when she begins her first LPGA appearance later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is related to Donald Trump, obtained a sponsor's invitation to participate at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, owns multiple international courses and frequently matches against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I can't say much but we play competitive games," she revealed.
The golfer shared that Trump, unable to come, counseled her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"My grandpa essentially suggested to go out there and enjoy myself," she continued.
"From my perspective, he's just a regular grandfather. He's not attending this weekend. He's focused on presidential duties, making him somewhat preoccupied."
Being non-professional, Kai has participated in only three events recently and maintains the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.
However she can get advice from 15-time major champion, in a relationship with her mother.
"He is the best player worldwide," Kai expressed.
"Furthermore, he's a superior person. He advised me to compete, have fun, following whatever happens."
She'll challenge some of the biggest names in women's golf at the Annika, such as world number two Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Tournament organizers mentioned that Kai's presence exposes the sport to different demographics, especially with the next generation.
The young star maintains a massive following and has started a personal apparel and wellness label.
She begins at late afternoon GMT.
